Currently hanging in the shop are the pen and ink images embedded with an encaustic medium created by Alexandra Petersen.

Petersen’s juxtaposition of thick, abstract encaustic with intimate penwork draws the viewer from across the room to examine her playful dreamscapes.  She examines themes of childhood, memory, and aloneness in a way that is poignant in both its vulnerability and its detachment.  Her characters are dwarfed within vast landscapes, which lends the viewer a feeling of distant intimacy.
